U-Box® – 6 Ways to Make Moving and Storage Easier

U-Haul now offers the U-Box® — a portable storage unit that can take a huge amount of hassle out of your move or even your remodeling project.

The U-Box® is a 5’ x 8’ container that is approximately 300 cu.ft. For those of us who aren’t engineers or architects, that means we can store about one-and-a-half rooms of furniture plus a bike or two in one U-Box®. There’s room for your bed, your dresser, your sofa, your TV and several boxes.

How can the amazing U-Box make your life easier?
1. The U-Box appears magically at your door (or in your driveway or where ever you want it delivered). You just call Gary or Lloyd at HomeBase storage and tell them when and where to drop it off.
2. You only have to pack and unpack once. No more loading up the car, driving to your storage unit and unload the car then repeating the process when you want your stuff back.
3. You can move stuff out of the way during a home-improvement project. Remodeling the kitchen? Re-doing the wood floors? Rent a U-box to keep your stuff in during the project.
4. You don’t have to parallel park a 17’ truck. U-Haul will pick up your U-Box® and deliver it to your new locale. You can stick to driving your Prius.
5. You have fewer opportunities to break your stuff. Thanks to the U-Box, those of us blessed with acute clutziness have fewer opportunities to drop Grandma’s china or the HD TV. We only have to pack it up and unload it once. Plus, the U-Box® sits at ground level so it’s easy to load and unload.
6. You can store your U-Box® at a secure location. U-Haul will pick up your U-Box® and keep it safe and sound for you until you’re ready to have it back. This is a great option if you some time between permanent places.
